From a Hair Loss Pro

Today I'm sharing some information from my longtime friend and super-inspiring hairdresser Charlie. Charlie has been in the industry for...a really long time! She went to high school with my Aunt Nancy. She is my go-to for hair loss advice. Here are some of her favorite products and links to purchase:

From Charlie Fitzpatrick: My all-time favorite, scalp and hair health products that I find to work synergistically and have great results.

The Surface, Awaken treatment :

This is to be minimally applied to the front hairline and the part line on top of your head:

-Morning and night if you are having a lot of shedding or thinning.

-Once daily (if in perimenopause or menopause) in the evening.

This is to be applied every day. I tell clients to put it next to their toothbrush and make it a daily habit.

(This product stimulates blood flow and blocks DHT in the hair follicle.)

Zenagen, Revolve shampoo and conditioner:

The shampoo stimulates the scalp, reduces inflammation, and blocks DHT. It must be on your scalp for a full five minutes in order to penetrate the dermis to block DHT from the hair follicle. It works best to use a scalp massager tool to work the Zenagen into your scalp for a couple of minutes and adds more stimulation to the scalp (Be sure to leave Zenagen shampoo on your scalp for five minutes.) It is the shampoo that does the magic. The conditioner is a basic volumizing conditioner.

In a nutshell, our hair and scalp will do best by:

- minimizing inflammation

- blocking DHT (which causes the hair follicle to miniaturize as we age)

- stimulating the scalp (creates blood flow to the scalp, creating healthy hair growth)

- and of course, a balanced diet. Supplementing with nutraceutical supplement if necessary.

It takes a minimum of three months to get any results due to the hair growth cycle.  you may notice minimal shedding after three months however, I truly see results after 6 to 9 months

I will be carrying some of these products in my salon shortly, but for now please order from the links above to get a great deal and support another local hair stylist!
